Open Studios Day at MeetFactory Prague

We are delighted to share the highlights from the Open Studios Day at MeetFactory Prague. This immersive gathering offered visitors a unique opportunity to explore the creative process firsthand and engage with diverse talented artists.

Participating in this enriching event were two SAiR project artists, Lea Culetto and Adrianna Szojda, who presented their remarkable work to an engaged audience:

Lea Culetto: Renowned for her multifaceted approach to art, Lea showcased an eclectic mix of embroidery, clothing, assemblages, objects, and installations. Through her art, she tackles feminist issues with humor and kitsch aesthetics. Her latest project, "Leftovers," delves into the fascinating world of biomaterials, exploring innovative ways to combine them with human-sourced pigments, specifically focusing on (body) hair. The culmination of this project promises to be a heartfelt tribute to Lea's own body, reflecting her unique perspective and artistic vision.

Adrianna: Adrianna's work is characterized by its thought-provoking exploration of human and non-human relationships. During the Open Studios Day, she facilitated a captivating encounter-meditation session titled "Soil is a Future Already Taking Place." Through this experiential session, participants were invited to contemplate the possibilities of establishing a deeper connection with more-than-human beings, particularly the soil. Adrianna's innovative approach prompted attendees to consider how such encounters might inspire new alternatives for addressing the ecosocial crises facing our world today. The session culminated in the creation of a JADAM microorganism solution (JMS), a collaborative effort aimed at enhancing the health of MeetFactory's plants.
